Ridiculous attack breaks out on Youth Ref as parents and a player attack him!

Breathe!!!

Breathe! It's Only a Game!!!

Well I wish I could say this was a new experience I have never seen.  Back when I played Pop Warner ball in a championship about the same age as these kids in the video, I witnessed as my team and the opponent brawled late in the game when one of runners went out of bounds.  One of our coaches had to go to court, accused of hitting a player when he broke up the the fight.  It’s still scary every-time you see it.  Coaches, players and parents keep pushing each year until we go off of the edge. Bad calls, scores run up, cheap shots, there are tons of reasons…no excuse! Here’s the video 1.) What’s Going On Now?!!! Crazy world of youth sports – Ref Attacked Personally I think this is the worst because based on watching a parent fighting probably the Dad of the player, a player got involved.  Don’t know the details but he was probably his son.  Is that a good reason, NO!!!!I think we set bad examples at the highest level to set the tone.

There’s no excuse for jacking up a ref or anybody on a field unless it’s legal between 2 players.  The kid should’ve rushed out and PULLED  the parent OFF of the ref.  Yes, as an emotional coach over the years in the heat of battle tempers can get crazy fast, but you never, ever go after a ref.  The kid should get kicked out of the league, I couldn’t tell you what went on with the Ref and parent from the start.  But the parent should’ve been walking the other way.  I’m curious what are your thoughts and which Crazy Sports Incident do you think is the worst of those listed below, and your thoughts on the cause and the solution. Yes, I know they are all bad but we have to fix it somehow:

1.) What’s Going On Now?!!! Crazy world of youth sports – Ref Attacked

2.)NY Coach tripping a Player

3.)More Sports Parents Out of Control

Be cool & make a Difference!
